Ansul Restaurant Fire Suppression

The application of ANSUL® fire suppression systems can ensure a far safer working environment for kitchen staff and can significantly reduce the insurance costs of industrial and commercial kitchens through the automatic detection and extinguishing of canopy and range fires.
There are two effective Restaurant Fire Suppression Systems – Ansul R-102 and Ansul Piranha. These products consist of a liquid wet chemical agent stored in stainless steel tanks and enclosures mounted adjacent to the kitchen canopy. In the event of a fire, the wet chemical agent, known as Ansulex, is automatically discharged from all nozzles, activated by fusible link detectors. The system can also be manually activated. The agent attacks the fire by rapidly knocking down the flame, reacting with the heat and cooking grease to produce a soap like foam layer starving the fire of oxygen and preventing a fire re-flash.
To ensure system functionality and compliance to British and European Standards, Biannual maintenance visits are required.
The Ansul R-102 Fire Suppression System incorporates a flexible design with an extremely effective ANSULEX Low pH Liquid Agent. This agent quickly knocks down flames and cools hot surfaces, while generating a tough vapour securing blanket that helps prevent re-flash.
The Ansul PIRANHA Dual Agent Restaurant Fire Suppression System is the only agent-plus-water fire suppression hybrid on the market today, out-performing all conventional single-agent systems.
